College Service Learning

There are valuable positions available to college students. First Tee – Monterey County values positive role models that are willing to coach and tutor participants in golf and life skills. No previous golfing experience required!

Positions include:

  • Coach
  • Tutor
  • Workshop Leader

Tutoring begins at the after school program where students help participants with homework. Workshop leaders share their experiences to the participants like teaching the basics on how to operate Adobe Photoshop or Excel.

To apply:

  1. Fill out the application and turn it in to First Tee – Monterey County
  2. Complete the SportsEngine background check emailed to you
  3. Call headquarters to sign up for orientation

This orientation will count as part of your service. During the orientation, we will determine your schedule for the remainder of the semester and complete your Service Learning Agreement.

High School Community Service

The High School Peer Mentor Program provides an educational and life-changing experience for students looking for community-service hours. The lives that you will touch will be impacted forever.

Positions include:

  • Assistant Coach
  • Computer Clubhouse Assistant
  • Tutor
