Day at The Hay
Friday, September 23, 2022
The Hay Short Course | Pebble Beach, California
On Friday, September 23, 2022, we celebrated the second annual Day at The Hay at The Hay Short Course in Pebble Beach from 12 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Each group was made up of six players in a two-best ball 9-hole, stroke-play competition featuring a performance by Musician Stephen Walsh and wine pourings on the redesigned short course, The Hay. There were 3 shotgun starts: 1 p.m., 3 p.m., and 5 p.m.
Guests experienced the newest addition to Pebble Beach Resorts, Hay’s Place, at our exclusive after party from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., for a fun and lively celebration!

How It Started
First Tee – Monterey County was gifted the opportunity to use The Hay Short Course for a one-day tournament during the PURE Insurance Championship. Of course, we used this opportunity to celebrate our First Tee – Monterey County participants and our friends who make it all possible. We wanted it to be a party: low-key and fun with wine, music, and an after-party hosted by Georges Daou. More than 110 golfers enjoyed the success of our first annual friend-raiser, and it accounted for more than $130,000 gross–both monetary and in-kind donations. All proceeds collected from the Day at The Hay benefited First Tee – Monterey County. We are excited and hopeful that the Day at The Hay will be in place for years ahead. We wanted to establish a one-day golf event in Pebble Beach benefiting First Tee – Monterey County, and we tee’d this one off with exciting momentum.
